Tata Motors has expanded its electric small commercial vehicle (SCV) lineup with the launch of the Intra EV Pickup, priced at ₹11.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new electric pickup joins the already available Ace EV 1000 and Ace Pro EV in Tata’s growing SCV electric portfolio, making it one of the most comprehensive electric commercial vehicle lineups in India.
The Intra EV is built around a 28.2 kWh battery pack paired with a 72 kW PMSM motor producing 230 Nm of torque — numbers that Tata says deliver car-like dynamics even under a full load.
It carries a payload capacity of 1,750 kg, giving fleet operators a high revenue-per-trip proposition compared to lighter electric alternatives.
The certified range stands at 211 km on a single charge, which Tata says is sufficient to support multiple daily duty cycles with dependable, all-weather performance. For operators who can’t afford long downtime, the Intra EV supports fast charging from 10–80% in approximately 55 minutes, keeping the vehicle on the road and earning.
The cabin is crash-tested, features Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), and is designed with a walk-through layout for fatigue-reducing comfort during long operating hours – a detail that matters enormously for drivers doing 10–12 hour shifts in urban logistics.

The Intra EV’s launch is strategically timed.
India’s last-mile delivery sector is under growing pressure to decarbonise, and fleet operators are actively looking for electric alternatives to diesel-powered mini trucks.
At ₹11.95 lakh, the Intra EV is positioned as a premium-but-accessible option sitting above Tata’s own Ace EV range but well within reach for small and mid-sized fleet operators.
Tata Motors already leads India’s commercial EV space across multiple segments — from the Magic EV passenger carrier to the newly launched Prima electric tippers. The Intra EV Pickup strengthens that position in the high-demand SCV segment, which remains the backbone of India’s urban goods movement.
